Give thanks

Although "giving thanks to God in all circumstances" has been emphasized for so many times in books, sermons, shows, testimonies etc, and we all know it very well, It is still a very very very hard thing when u have to do it urself. Many times we become disappointed when God didn't do what we think He should do.
What we need to constant draw to is our faith... which would clearly tell us that all things happen are in His plan.. and all things He brings to us are good for us even when we can't see or understand them.
Therefore I will give thanks to Him who gave me the opportunity for tomorrow, and i also will give thanks if it doesn't work out well tomorrow, for I know it will be the best thing for me.
As December is already here, the clinical school result will come out soon: Lord I know I will give thanks to you regardless of the place i go. For you know what is the best for me and all is in your hands. To be close to you and to please you is better than anything in this world, truly.

weekend...

Did quite a few things over the weekend. Had my 1st commitee meeting Sat afternoon.... Got very inspired by the way people are willing to put in the effort in all these... Although I know my communication skills are pretty bad but I will try my best to do wat I can to serve Him, by talking more to new comers next yr *yn all resolved now...lol* And it was pretty comical how Danielle passed on a massive folder of "the History of BYF" to me and I carried it clumsily around even to the blackburn ecc games nite... lol
Got home and had quality devotional time. 1 John chapter 5 is sooooo.............. good. 1 John 5:4 "...This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. " Many things can cause worries, but in HIM we have our certainties. Praise Him for this holiday my devotional time has reali improved and I have learnt heaps.
Kids church is fun as usual. ^0^ The kids had gift exchange, all the points they earned during the yr by rem bible verses now they can use to exchange for cute stuff such as fluffy pens and little "God loves u" bouncy balls *yn all envious now...* LOL So yeh festive atmosphere all around (we teachers just use this opportunity to eat heaps of the kids' food...hehe)
Thank you Lord for I had been able to serve u this weekend. Help me to continue this service according to ur will.

"God plz-------ZZZZZ"

Praying gets a bit hard when I sleep late and wake up late and when I don't catch the train... haha.. in fact quite frequently I have neglected praying these days, especially after coming back from the trip... when too many things to do during the day, and too many friends to catch up with on msn at nite... But the person we most need and want to talk to everyday is our heavenly father. All work done assumingly for Him is in vain if we do not pray about them and align our plan with His.
LOL....2day i did better than "God plz help me to find a job...God plz watch over my friend's exam.......ZZZZZZZ"! YaY! managed to do quite a bit of thanksgiving, and managed to intercede for everyone around me who is in need. And my devotion after that was also really effective. I pray I can keep this up and not be ineffective in prayer over the hols. Praise the Lord for His patience and mercy!
To Irene-san: how r u if u r actually reading this? lol Have u been praying beta these days? will pray about ur prayer time too. ^^ enjoy ur time to the max back at home! ^^

be still

when worries, confusions, uncertainties suddenly come, I will still trust in the Lord. When happiness fades I know I can still rejoice because of the Lord. Your grace is sufficient for me, I will be still and know you are God...

Pain and empathy

Read a ChristianityToday article online 2day... about nursing homes and the sadness of it...it is so true... How much understanding do we young ppl actually have of the hopelessness, and the need of those ppl who r withering away? Going further it is reali the same thing with hospital patients. All that we can learn in ICM is the so called "empathy"... how to say the same words over and over again at the right times... How much do we actually understand of the patients' pains? Even if we can be master in psychology and be as nice as we could.... i still do not think we can grasp the full meaning of suffering for each one of them.
Human love and understanding r never sufficient... easily tires. Only God's love and wisdom r complete, only he understands us fully and only He can save and heal. We do have a high priest who UNDERSTANDS AND SYMPATHESIZES, not leaving a single one of us out.
God, everyday please open up my heart and flow ur love through me.
( Definitely one of the best Christianity Today article i have read this year: http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2000/013/12.86.html)

1 John 1:9

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Today I had a good time tidying up my past church pamphlets. and also had some quality devotional times: read commentary on 1 John chapter 1. 1 John 1:9 is one of the few verses i learnt by heart, read it countless times.. but 2day, i received new insights. PTL! I tend to focus solely on the forgiveness part...and it seems quite obvious that God is 'faithful' and so He forgives. I had always overlooked the part that says 'just'. only 2day i realised: normally when u say just.. u would assume it refers to God's judgement.. but no: GOD IS JUST, WHEN HE FORGIVES TOO. Forgiveness is also the reflection of fairness.

the 1st of everything....

Still a bit lost about this thing at the moment... yn never reali good with computers anyway. lol But yeah inspired by 2 friends: Sally and Kolin... and thought: hey a blog is not a bad idea!!!(giving yn a way of expressing herself since she never reali expresses herself well...) haha... just kidding... oh well hope i will say sth more meaningful next time. ^^
